Childcare Choices Help Paying for Childcare

15 Hours Funded Childcare

All children in England get 570 funded for 15 hours per year. It’s usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year, but you can choose to take fewer hours over more weeks, for example. You are eligible to claim this from the term after your child’s 3rd birthday..

30 Hours Funded Childcare

You may qualify for the extended funding providing an additional 570 funded hours In a full academic year. All of our settings that open for more than 38 weeks a year stretch this funding over the full year. It is not available on a 38 week term. If you are eligible for the extended funding you will need to register with HMRC and notify the setting when you receive the code.

eyLog

eyLog is a comprehensive solution to manage your child’s learning journey and development. Each nursery day at South Hills is carefully planned to give every pupil a balance of adult- and child-led activities that suit their skills, interests, and needs. Using eyLog, you can understand your child’s progress on a more regular and real-time basis by sharing media such as photos, video, and audio.

Nursery staff will record observations into a learning journey to provide a picture of your child’s development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You can log in securely on your mobile, computer, or device and receive push notifications when a new observation has been added, keeping you updated on what your child is doing. You can also contribute from home.

Whether it’s pictures from your holiday or your child’s first experience of certain activities, your contributions will help to make your child’s learning journey more comprehensive. eyLog supports our aim of working in partnership with parents to support children’s learning both at nursery and at home.
